Why is the Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card being discontinued?

The Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card programme will end on 30 September 2026, following the Vistara–Air India transition.

Till when can I use my card?

You can continue using your card until 30 September 2026, subject to the existing terms and conditions and your available credit limit.

What happens from 1 October 2026?

From 1 October 2026, the Club Vistara Credit Card will no longer be available for transactions. This applies to all spends on the card, including online and international transactions, cash withdrawals and any standing instructions registered on the card.

Will my card be closed?

If there are no dues on your card, your account will be closed with effect from 1 October 2026.

If you have an outstanding balance or a running EMI, your account will remain open for statements and repayments until everything is cleared and will be closed thereafter.

Can I avail airport lounges on Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card?

Yes. You are entitled to 2 complimentary domestic airport lounge visits and 1 complimentary international airport lounge visit per quarter on monthly spends of Rs.20,000. This will become applicable w.e.f 1st May 2024. Please spend min Rs. 20,000 in April 2024 to get access in May 2024.

How can I avail my complimentary Lounge benefit?

You can avail the complimentary lounge benefit by using your credit card at domestic airport lounges and your Dreamfolks card at international airport lounges.

Can I avail Golf benefit on Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card?

Yes, as part of the Mastercard Network benefits, you can avail golf offers with your Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card. This includes:

·  4 complimentary rounds of green fees per calendar year (only 1 round in a calendar month)

·  12 complimentary golf lessons per calendar year (1 lesson per calendar month)

·  Discounted golf services at 50% of the green fee beyond complimentary sessions

Do I need to spend ₹20,000 every month to activate my lounge benefits?

 You can activate your complimentary lounge visits in the next month by spending a minimum of ₹20,000 in the current calendar month.

For e.g., Meet spend criteria between 1st to 31st Jan 2024. Benefit activated for Feb-2024.

The spends condition stands revised from 1st May 2024. ₹5,000 spends in March 2024 will unlock access in April 2024. ₹20,000 must be spent in April 2024 to get complimentary access in May 2024.

How do I know the required number of Maharaja points to book flight tickets?

What is Maharaja Club?

Maharaja Club, launched in 1994 as Air India’s Flying Returns, is one of India’s oldest and most rewarding frequent flyer programmes. The programme expanded its member benefits in 2014 when Air India joined Star Alliance, expanding its benefits to the Star Alliance network. Through this programme, members earn Maharaja Points they fly with Air India or the 24 Star Alliance Partner Airlines, or when they spend with programme Partners. These points can later be redeemed for Award Flights and Cabin Upgrades. 

Has Club Vistara (Vistara’s loyalty programme) been discontinued?

Yes, Club Vistara has merged with Air India’s Flying Returns to become Maharaja Club. Members can log-in with their Maharaja Club ID to view their account summary.

Will Air India honour all my existing tickets and vouchers?

Yes, Air India will honour all your valid/active tickets and vouchers issued by Club Vistara. These have been transferred to your Maharaja Club Account, ensuring that you can continue to use them as planned.

How long are my vouchers valid for?

All Cabin Upgrade Vouchers issued by Maharaja Club are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance for Silver Tier members, 9 months for Gold Tier members and 12 months for Platinum Tier members. All Complimentary Ticket Vouchers will have a fixed validity of 9 months, irrespective of the tier. For more details, please click here.

Do I need to do anything as my Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card is getting closed?

Please continue paying your dues by the respective due dates, and move any standing instructions, auto-debits, subscriptions or recurring payments registered on this card to an alternate card or bank account before 30 September 2026.

You may also wish to confirm that your registered email ID, mobile number and address with us are up to date.

I have an outstanding balance on my card. What happens to it?

Any outstanding balance, along with applicable fees and charges, will continue to appear in your statements and remains payable by the respective due dates until fully settled.

What happens to my EMIs?

Your EMIs continue on the same terms and tenure. Statements on your Club Vistara Credit Card account will continue to be generated until all your instalments have been fully paid.

Will I continue to receive statements after 1 October 2026?

Yes. As long as there is any balance or running EMI on your account, statements will continue to be generated on your usual statement date until everything is cleared.

How do I make payments after my card is blocked?

All your existing payment options continue to work. The block applies only to new transactions on the card and does not affect your ability to make payments.

I have an auto-debit instruction for my card bill. Will it continue?

Your auto-debit instruction for the payment of your card dues will continue to operate. Please refer to the communication sent to you for the details applicable to your account.

What happens to my standing instructions and subscriptions?

Any standing instructions, auto-debit mandates, subscriptions or recurring payments registered on your Club Vistara Credit Card will stop working from 1 October 2026. We request you to register these on an alternate card or bank account before 30 September 2026 so that your payments are not disrupted.

What happens to my add-on card and FIRST Digital Card?

Add-on cards and FIRST Digital Cards linked to your Club Vistara Credit Card account will also stop working from 1 October 2026.

Can I raise a dispute after 1 October 2026 for a transaction made earlier?

Yes. Disputes and chargebacks for transactions made on or before 30 September 2026 will be processed as per the normal timelines applicable to that transaction.

What happens to the points I have earned on my card?

Maharaja Points earned on eligible spends up to 30 September 2026 will be transferred to your linked Maharaja Club account as per the existing process. No points lapse on account of the card closure.

Do I need to redeem my points before the card closes?

No. Your points are credited to your Maharaja Club account and not held on the card. Redemption, validity and usage of these points are governed by Air India's Maharaja Club programme rules.

Is my Maharaja Club membership affected?

No. Your Maharaja Club membership is with Air India and is separate from your credit card. Your membership, tier and accumulated points are not affected by the closure of the card. For any query relating to your membership or your points after they are credited, please contact Air India's Maharaja Club.

What happens to my credit limit?

Credit limits are shared across your IDFC FIRST Bank Credit Cards. Once your Club Vistara Credit Card is closed and there are no dues on it, the limit associated with it continues to be available to you on your other IDFC FIRST Bank Credit Cards, if any.

Will this affect my credit score?

This is a bank-initiated closure of a discontinued card programme, and the account will be reported to the credit bureaus as a closed account. It is not reported as a default or an adverse closure. Your repayment behaviour on any outstanding dues continues to be reported until the account is closed, so please continue to pay by the due dates.

I have an existing IDFC FIRST Bank Credit Card, what will be the limit offered if I also apply for a Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card?

If you have an existing IDFC FIRST Bank Credit Card  you will be able to apply for Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card. In this case, the credit limit from your existing card will be the overall credit limit across your multiple IDFC FIRST Bank Credit Cards.

Will I earn Maharaja Points for every spend?

Yes, you will earn Maharaja Points on every transaction using the Club Vistara IDFC FIRST Credit Card. Here's how the points are calculated:

-    6 Maharaja points on spends up to Rs. 1,00,000 in a billing cycle and 4 Maharaja points for all spends above Rs. 1,00,000.

-    1 Maharaja point on every transaction done on Fuel, Utility, Insurance, Wallet Load and Rent.

-  Maharaja points will not be given on transactions converted to EMI, Balance Transfer and on Cash Withdrawals.

-   Earn of Maharaja point will be calculated per Rs. 200.

-   Maharaja points will be calculated every billing cycle.
