Warning against Unauthorized entities indulging in Fraudulent activities using name & logo of IDFC FIRST Bank

We have been informed by Reserve Bank of India (RBI)/Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) that they have received complaints from public against various entities, which operate websites and contact unsuspecting public, promising to enlist them as Customer Service Points (CSP) of various commercial banks. The website displays the logos of Banks & images of its CSP. These entities collect varying amount from the public interested to open CSP and subsequently dupe them. Such entities operate these websites as unincorporated bodies and are not registered with RBI too.

These fraudsters cheat public in the name of banks through the aforementioned modus operandi, who leverage on the system of banking correspondents (BCs)/DSAs, which the banks use to deliver banking services.

In this connection, we would like to caution you that IDFC FIRST Bank has a robust system of appointment of BCs/DSAs with defined terms and conditions under contractual arrangement. Further, such appointment would happen directly from the Bank’s side and not through some entities/individuals.

You are requested to be cautious and take due care by doing sufficient due diligence while dealing in this regard. Further, any dealing with unauthorized entities/individuals shall be at the sole risk of member of general public, and IDFC FIRST Bank shall not be liable for any loss or other related consequences.
