What is FASTag Annual Pass?


FASTag Annual pass is a new toll payment system which helps your non-commercial private vehicles like cars, jeep, or van pass through toll plazas, operated by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).  

The toll pass is active for one year or 200 trips (whichever is earlier).  

You make a one-time payment on this pass. Thus, you avoid the hassle of paying per-trip toll fee.  

What are the Eligibility Criteria for FASTag Annual Pass?


Only private non-commercial vehicles like cars/jeeps/vans, verifiable through the VAHAN database, are eligible for FASTag Annual Pass.  

Other eligible criteria for an FASTag Annual Pass include:  

  • The FASTag must be properly affixed to the windshield of the registered vehicle 
  • The FASTag must be registered with the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) 
  • The FASTag shouldn’t be blacklisted

How to Apply for FASTag Annual Pass?


You can apply for a FASTag Annual Pass with these simple steps: 

  • Download the Rajmargyatra app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store 
  • Log in with your mobile number 
  • Click on Annual Pass tile and fill in your details to check eligibility 
  • Once your eligibility and payment are confirmed, make the payment of ₹3,000 for the base year 2025-26 
  • Your FASTag Annual Pass is activated within 2 hours  
  • You will receive a confirmation of activation via SMS notification 

How FASTag Annual Pass Works


Here’s a detailed breakdown of how FASTag Annual Pass works: 

  • The Annual pass is activated on the FASTag linked to your VRN, given that the vehicle is eligible. 
  • Once activated, the tolls at National highways and Expressways , operated by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) are covered for one year or up to 200 trips, whichever is earlier. 
  • You don’t need to pay a per-trip toll fee with a FASTag Annual Pass. 
  • After one year ends or you complete 200 trips, you can renew your FASTag Annual Pass again  

What is FASTag Annual Pass Activation Timeline?


The activation   of FASTag Annual Pass happens within 2 hours upon purchase, given that your FASTag status is active.  

If it does not reflect in your FASTag account, contact NHAI’s helpline at 1033.

Where is FASTag Annual Pass Valid?


FASTag Annual Pass is valid only on National Highways and National Expressways, operated by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). 

Expressways, State Highways, and toll roads managed by the State government and local bodies are not covered under this toll pass.  

Cancellation and Refund


The annual pass services are not cancellable, and there is no refund policy. For more help with this, you can seek assistance at the NHAI Helpline no. 1033. 

How to Migrate Annual Pass to a new FASTag?


In case of a FASTag replacement, To migrate or port your Annual Pass to the new FASTag either call the NHAI helpline at 1033 or send an email to annualpass@ihmcl.com.

Is it possible to activate FASTag Annual Pass despite having a local pass for the toll plaza?

Yes, you can. When you do, the annual pass will work in addition to your local or monthly pass. 

What to do if you are unable to activate your FASTag Annual Pass?

If you are unable to activate your Annual Pass, first ensure your FASTag is active, correctly linked, and meets eligibility criteria. Activation can take up to two hours. If it still fails, contact NHAI’s 1033 helpline or your FASTag issuer.

How to raise payment disputes when you have a FASTag Annual Pass and the amount gets deducted from your FASTag balance?

In this case, first confirm the plaza is covered under thelist of eligible National Highways or National Expressways, operated by. Then raise a dispute with NHAI (1033) or your FASTag issuer, sharing transaction details, receipts, and proof of your active Annual Pass.
