When you consent to share your information with an Account Aggregator (AA), it collects your digital financial data from one or more accounts and delivers it to the financial institution that offers you with services like loans and insurance. What is an Account Aggregator?
Account Aggregator is an RBI-regulated entity that allows simple and secure exchange of financial data between financial Institutions such as banks, depositories, insurance agencies. This information cannot be shared without the user's explicit consent. As per RBI’s mandate, data shared via the AA is encrypted end-to-end and can only be viewed by the user on the consented app. Further, you can securely disconnect your account any time.
Can I opt out of this feature anytime? Will my data be deleted when I disconnect my accounts?
You can disconnect any/all your connected accounts at any time. Once disconnected, all associated financial data will be deleted. Also, no new data will be fetched from the disconnected accounts.
