School Mental Health Program
The School Mental Health program, in collaboration with ApniShala Foundation commenced in October 2022. The partnership focuses on running an experiential learning program to develop social and emotional competencies with a promotive and preventive approach to mental health. The program was implemented with students in grades 4th to 10th at a government school in Chembur, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The program reached out to children from families with an annual income of less than ₹ 1.44 lakh. The program included 26 group sessions and family meetings, equipping participants with emotional management skills. Anokhe Classroom 2023 provided a platform for the students to demonstrate their learnings through various creative mediums.

Highlight
Anokhe Classrooms is celebrated as the end-year learning showcase where the entire school community comes together to learn from students of the SEL program to understand what they did in the school year. While some students directly share their learning through different performances, others participate by supporting their classmates in preparing for the same. In 2022-23 the event was conducted on 13th March 2023. Grade 8 students also joined the audience of this event. Through a variety of modalities such as drama, songs, rap songs on friendship, poster presentation, and story presentation, students shared their learnings on social and emotional skills.
