This initiative is intended to enhance cybersecurity and public trust across India’s banking system.
Purpose
The migration aims to strengthen the cybersecurity framework and address the growing challenges of digital payment fraud, phishing, and fake banking websites.
By adopting the .bank.in domain, it becomes easier for customers to identify and trust genuine banking websites, as this domain is strictly regulated and available only to RBI-licensed banks.
