EEFC Account (Exchange Earners Foreign Currency Account)
EEFC Accounts
An EEFC account is a current account that allows exporters to retain foreign exchange earnings in the currency they were received, without converting them into INR immediately.
Eligibility:
Available to resident individuals, companies, and firms earning in foreign currency through exports or services.
Key pointers
Only 100% foreign exchange earnings can be credited.
Available in multiple currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, JPY, SGD, CHF, HKD, AED, ZAR, CAD.
Balances must be converted to INR by the end of the next calendar month unless used for permitted purposes.
