The Workmen Compensation Act provides for payment of compensation to Employees and their dependents in case of injury and accident at workplace (including certain occupational disease) arising out of and in the course of employment and resulting in disablement or death.Read More
WC claims are for accidents within work premises and during working hours. However, they can also be for work related accidents beyond the premises and before or after official hours of work. At the time of injury, workman must have been engaged in the business of the employer and must not be doing something for his personal benefit.Read Less

Scope of Cover
- Sum Insured: Calculated based on Earnings including wages, salaries and other perquisites.
- Premium: Dependent on the occupation and wages of the workmen. The rates are specified in WC Tariff prescribed by IRDA - INR 15,000 per Employee per month.
- Age Limit: 3-65 years of age; for existing policies, renewal can be done up to 80 years
- Sum Insured: Up to 60-72 months earning of insured
- Premium: chargeable based on occupation and benefits availed. Also add-ons, claims history, geography and other factors come into play.
