IDFC FIRST BANK ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
IDFC FIRST Bank Engineering Scholarship is a need-based scholarship for students with family income of less than INR 6 lakhs per annum. The purpose of this scholarship is to make engineering studies accessible to meritorious students who are unable to pursue higher studies due to financial constraints.
Award
- INR 4,00,000 for four years of full-time Engineering studies ( 1 Lakh p.a. subject to T&C)
- Scholarship Amount: Fee of one year or 1 lakh p.a. (whichever is lower)

About the Scholarship
The IDFC FIRST Impact Engineering Scholarship Program is a need-based financial assistance program designed for engineering students who have secured admission in select B-Tech/BE colleges in India. The program covers a part of eligible students’ fees for four-year* full-time engineering degrees.
Eligible for students who are currently in the first year of their B-Tech / BE course from select colleges in India.
Family income up to ₹6 Lakhs p.a.*
Students who have not received any other scholarship or tuition fee waiver for their engineering course

No, only students in first year of their full-time engineering degree course are eligible for the scholarship
I cannot find my college name in the list of eligible colleges, how do I apply?
Applicants who cannot find their college on the list of eligible colleges are ineligible to apply for the IDFC FIRST Bank Engineering Scholarship.
Will I receive this scholarship for subsequent years of my engineering studies?
Yes, eligible students will receive the scholarship amount for subsequent years of their course duration, provided that they clear their exams successfully. Kindly refer to the T&Cs for more information.
What are some common mistakes applicants make while submitting their scholarship application?
Based on past applications, here are the most frequent mistakes scholars make:
Uploading an Expired Income Certificate
Ensure that your income certificate is valid and issued within the required timeframe. Expired certificates will lead to rejection or delays in processing.
Not Reading the Terms and Conditions Before Signing
Many applicants skip reading the detailed terms and conditions, which results in agreeing to terms they may not fully understand. Please read all instructions carefully before submission.
Entering the Annual Course Fee Instead of the Total Course Fee
The form requires you to enter the total course fee for the entire duration (e.g., 2 or 4 years), but many applicants mistakenly enter just one year's fee. Please confirm this with your institution before submission.
