What is Loan Account Number(LAN)? How to Check Loan Account Number Online

Summary: Check out what is the unique series of numbers that your bank assigns to your loan account when your loan is approved & how to track the instalments you have paid.

17 Sep 2021 by Team FinFIRST

A Loan Account Number (LAN) is a unique 14 or 15-digit identifier assigned to a borrower's loan account by the lender when a loan is disbursed. The LAN is displayed on the loan statement. If a borrower has multiple loans from the same lender, each loan will have its own unique LAN.

For example, if you have both a home loan and a personal loan from the same institution, each will have a different LAN. This number helps the lender keep track of and update each loan account regularly.
